What constitutes an excellent dining experience? Well, excellent food, of course. But there’s also the ambiance. The attention to detail. The level of service. How the staff makes you feel. So many eateries get the food right, but somehow fail to excel at some of the others. Happily, one downtown eatery – and a twice-voted Restaurant of the Year – excels at them all. Welcome to Saltwater Grill.
In fact, there’s a reason Galveston Island has a growing reputation for its impeccable dining and inviting nightlife – and it has everything to do with Saltwater Grill! Featuring an array of tantalizing fresh-from-the-grill and fresh-from-the-kettle seafood specialties, Saltwater Grill is in a class of its own when it comes to quality and attention to detail. And their Restaurant Week lunch & dinner menus reflect just that.
Take the $13 lunch. Served weekdays 11am – pm during Restaurant Week, this menu really rocks the “pay little, get a lot” concept. From a starter of one of the garden-fresh Caesar or Saltwater salads, you’ll then enjoy your choice of either Lobster & Shrimp Tacos, the Grilled Chicken Pasta with penne and tomato cream sauce, or the Asian Grilled Shrimp over buckwheat noodles and Asian vegtables, finishing with the Select Dessert of the Day,
When the sun goes down? Take in the Saltwater Grill $25 dinner menu, where you’ll begin with salad, then select from the Fire Grilled Chicken Breast with potatoes, spinach and button mushroom gravy; the Almond Coconut Crusted Gulf Shrimp with steamed rice, Asian vegetables and peanut curry sauce; or the exceptional Texas Redfish Ponchartrain, enrobed with shrimp, crawfish, and mushrooms in a brown butter wine sauce over steamed rice. Once again, you’ll be surprised with the Chef’s Select Dessert of the Day.
To really understand how delectable all these look, take a moment and study the menu here.
